What Do You Think About This, My Church Refuses A Teen With Cerebral Palsy To Become An Altar Server?

There is a little controversy going on in our Church…
A teen with cerebral palsy who needs an aide to walk around with put in a request to become an altar boy but he was denied because of his handicap.
The Church flat out told the parents that their son cannot do what is required, would slow down the procession, and “they aren’t equipped to handle it”.
The parents were mad and sent a few “letters” to the local bishop but I don’t know the outcome of that.
They became even more mad when they got word that they were going to allow him to be a “figurehead”, just have him wear the robes and allow him to sit on the altar but he doesn’t really do anything.
What do you think here? I mean practically, he can’t do it.
This country legend was a singer & actor. In addition, he helped start the United Cerebral Palsy Assoc.?

So I know that this is terrible and I am going to get a ton of shit for it and I am prepared.. but I have just spent hours reading PostSecrets and I feel like I can say anything… Anyways this is a support group, and I obviously need support.
So today I was at physical therapy because I needed to get a discharge, and I was on time but my therapist was talking to some guy about.. random stuff it was annoying and then that guy finally left and my therapist was working with me, and this girl came in, I am assuming she has Cerebral Palsy from the way that she moves, and she is in a wheelchair (and since I have CP I know what it looks like) anyways she comes in and of course I was getting a little irritated because YET AGAIN another interruption… but to add to my irritated-ness this girl came in with her HUSBAND.. mind you this is a college physical therapy so this girl was maybe 22 and her husband was like 22 also. The point is… this girl is 22 years old in a wheelchair and is married… I can’t even find a decent guy to DATE me and sleep with me at 20!! And how do they have sex?? Like she is in a wheelchair.. HOW IS THAT MANAGEABLE!? (I will how ever say that her husband is not the type of guy I would date… and maybe my standards are too high since I am kind of damaged goods… but still its just… unbelievable.. this girl is married and having sex with this guy and shes in a wheelchair, and I am able to walk and go out to clubs or whatever.. And I know this seems so harsh of me and I am probably a terrible person but.. I mean really its devastating, I am not saying she doesn’t deserve love because of her situation, I am more less saying why am I not in the same situation (with marriage and sex and… babies 
)
I’m not a bad person but think about it, I have done EVERYTHING to be in the position to have sex and get a bf and I still haven’t, then some girl in a wheelchair is married?? Like obviously thats annoying, I can pretty much do everything, I drive, I walk with a cane (but I walk), I work out to look hot when i go out to clubs to pick up on guys.. I do everything! Yet I am not meeting anyone but this girl who can’t do half the things I can is married.. she probably didn’t even walk down the aisle like I would… like it just pisses me off.. and I’m sorry but I have to be honest.
